Creams and Lotions

One of the big advantages of being a baby is having beautiful skin without using any creams, treatments, or lotions. Many products profess to keep your baby’s skin soft with aloe or other magical ingredients, but none of these are necessary, unless your child has a skin condition such as eczema.

In the first few weeks after delivery, however, you will see intense flaking as Lucy’s skin sloughs off the several layers of dead cells that were kept hydrated in utero. This is normal and will soon stop on its own, without any creams.
