Joint Pains

If Jimmy injures one of his joints, address any swelling with your doctor. If there is no swelling or deformity, you can let him rest, monitor his pain, and then reassess the next day. He should avoid using the affected limb if it is painful. If the pain is still intense, an X-ray will probably be necessary. If Jimmy has not injured himself and there is swelling or pain in the joint, he’ll also need medical evaluation, especially if he has an associated fever, which could indicate a joint infection.
